Long live Baldrik

Tonight I picked up Quick Blåfrostsønn from the hamster breeder and (as usual) promptly renamed him. He will henceforth be known as Baldrik.

He was born on 17 August 2020.

RIP Nusse

Nusse, aka Hamsterhiets Terie Falksønn, died today. I had to take him to the vet and he was put to sleep. It was more brutal than I had imagined.

Nusse is old!

Nusse II is getting old, poor little guy! I've "killed" him accidentally a couple of times now where I thought he had passed but then he showed up alive after all. :-P Here's a little video from tonight. He's getting grey and slow, but seems otherwise healthy. Fingers crossed he stays around for a while yet!

Nusse is a dream of a hamster, a complete joy. At weigh-in yesterday he clocked in at 49 grammes. He's so calm and unafraid. Easy to handle and doesn't run around at top speed at all times. Shows up when he hears people are home. Crazy about meal worms and sunflower seeds. Not too into vegetables.
